What's Included in Our Lawn Care Programs

We offer three tiers of residential lawn care programs — Basic, Traditional, and Enhanced — so you can choose the level of service that fits your lawn's needs and your goals. Every program is built around a foundation of science-backed treatments, eco-conscious products, and a genuine commitment to long-term lawn health.

All of our programs include a combination of the following services:

  • Seasonal Fertilization — Your lawn gets fed the right nutrients at the right time, supporting strong root development and vibrant green growth throughout the season.
  • Pre-Emergent Weed Control — We apply pre-emergent treatments early in the season to stop weeds before they ever break through the soil.
  • Grub Control — Grubs feed on grass roots beneath the surface, causing brown patches and widespread damage. We treat both preventively and curatively to keep your turf protected.
  • Insect Control — From surface-feeding insects to subsurface pests, we monitor and treat for a wide range of turf-damaging insects throughout the season.
  • Fall Liquid Aeration — We apply liquid aeration to help loosen compacted soil, improve water penetration, and allow nutrients to reach deeper into the root zone, setting your lawn up for stronger growth in the seasons ahead.
  • Biochar — Biochar helps improve soil structure and nutrient retention, creating a healthier environment for roots to grow while increasing your lawn’s ability to hold moisture and essential nutrients.
  • Soil Testing — Included with most programs, soil testing gives us the data we need to build a treatment plan that actually works for your specific lawn.

Treatments are spaced roughly 5.5 weeks apart, beginning once snow clears in the spring and running through mid-November. Additional fertilizer add-on services are available, including aeration and overseeding, mosquito control, specialty weed control, Bio Char applications, winterizer treatments, and more.

What to Expect When You Work With Us

We believe great lawn care starts with a great experience from the first phone call to the final treatment of the season. Here's what the process looks like when you become an LCS customer:

  2. Customized Treatment Plan: We recommend the program tier that's the right fit. Every plan is tailored to your lawn — not a one-size-fits-all formula.
  3. Scheduled Seasonal Treatments: Your treatments are scheduled approximately every 5.5 weeks throughout the season. You don't have to think about it — we track it, schedule it, and show up when it's time.
  4. Ongoing Communication: Have questions between visits? Our team is easy to reach. We also send after-service reports so you always know what was done and what to expect next.
  5. End-of-Season Review: As the season wraps up in mid-November, we make sure your lawn is set up for success heading into winter and ready to thrive again come spring.

Why DIY Lawn Care Falls Short

Walk down the fertilizer aisle at any home improvement store, and you'll find dozens of products promising a greener, healthier lawn. So why do so many DIY lawns still struggle? The truth is, effective lawn care is more complex than a bag of fertilizer and a Saturday afternoon.

Here's where most DIY approaches miss the mark:

  • Wrong products for your soil: Without a proper soil test, you're guessing. Applying the wrong fertilizer or missing a pH imbalance can do more harm than good.
  • Wrong timing: Pre-emergent weed control has a narrow window of effectiveness. Miss it by a week or two, and you've lost your best defense against weeds for the season.
  • Misidentifying problems: Brown patches can mean fungal disease, grub damage, drought stress, or a dozen other things. Treating the wrong problem wastes time and money.
  • Inconsistent applications: Lawn care works best on a consistent schedule. Skipping treatments or applying unevenly leads to patchy, unpredictable results.
  • Generic products: Over-the-counter products are formulated for the masses. Our programs use professional-grade, organic-based products specifically selected for their effectiveness and their minimal impact on your family, pets, and the environment.

Investing in professional lawn care isn't just about convenience. It's about getting real, lasting results from people who know exactly what your lawn needs and when it needs it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have to stay off the lawn after a treatment?

This varies depending on the specific product applied. Your technician will let you know after each visit, and it's typically a short wait after the application has dried.

When can I mow after a treatment?

We generally recommend waiting 24-48 hours after a treatment before mowing to allow the products to fully absorb and take effect.

Will rain affect my treatment?

Light rain after most applications is not a problem and can actually help certain products absorb into the soil. Heavy rain shortly after an application may require a re-treatment. Our team will always let you know if a follow-up is needed.

Do you offer organic treatment options?

Absolutely. Using the highest quality organic-based products available is central to how we operate. We are committed to delivering outstanding results while keeping your family, pets, and the environment top of mind.
